Today Jim Piper “returns to the classroom” to discuss leadership with Dr. Justin Irving.  Dr. Irving was one of the professors Jim studied under while pursuing his Master of Divinity degree at Bethel University.  Dr. Irving is currently Chair of the Department of Leadership and Discipleship at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

The outline for today’s talk is centered around the book, “Leadership in Christian Perspective” authored by Justin Irving and Mark Straus.  This book brings the best of leadership theory and research together with biblical reflection and examples of leadership in action.  It is an important resource for all Christian students of leadership.  Jim and Justin touch on topics related to the nine empowering practices described in the book and the importance of servant leadership.

You can find Dr. Justin Irving on LinkedIn.

If you want to talk a look at his book, “Leadership in Christian Perspective”, it’s available on Amazon.
