Erin shares how the organization started in Denver as a place for boys to be productive and get off the street during the early 1960s when there was a high amount of gang violence.
Today, the Boys and Girls Clubs offer a wide range of programs for kids of all ages, from homework help to sports programming to college preparation. Also, they serve kids from all types of backgrounds, including those who come from vulnerable situations. Furthermore, Erin reveals the organization’s budget and how it helps children meet their basic needs and establish relationships.
