Your vision shapes your behaviors. If you see your past or future in a negative light, your behaviors reflect that. If you will look back and see the good from your past while having a positive picture of your future, your behaviors will begin to align you in that direction.

Viktor Frankl (neurologist, psychiatrist, philosopher, author, and Holocaust survivor) observed when people lost hope and connection to the future, they lost context and meaning for the present. As a result, they died. There has been a shift in psychology over the past 100 years where we once believed a person is shaped by their past but now we see people are shaped more by what they see in their future.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
