Courage is one of the seven elements of character and is brought to life in collaboration with faith and justice.
If you want more courage, realize it comes from moral authority. What is moral authority? Moral authority comes from living an honest and just life. In days gone by we called these people, God-fearing. In simple terms, a God-fearer is one who considers what God might think over what society might think.
People with GC (God Conscience) believe that our lives matter. How we live our days on this earth account for something. We have not abandoned common sense for political correctness. We have not waved the white flag because we are in the minority. We study and ponder remembering that rightness is not always found in the majority.
There’s something you may not know. The crowd is looking for everyday people to use common sense and decency. To stand up for what is right. To say aloud what many are thinking. People are looking for good people to follow.
Let me use business terms to break this down. There is a serious market demand for men and women with GC who will have the courage to lead justly and to call things as they truly are. If it is foolish, we call it foolish. If it is wise, we call it wise. But one thing we do not do… we do not allow the crowd to do our thinking for us.
Don’t become so well adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out.
