Living with conviction can be a powerful way to transform your life and the lives of those around you. When we have a deep belief in something, it can give us the courage and motivation to take action, even when it may be difficult or unpopular. In this article, we will explore the concept of living with conviction and how it can lead to personal transformation, as well as the transformation of the environments and communities where we live and work. We will also examine how developing and communicating our values can help us to become more valuable to others, and how we can lead by example to create positive change. Whether you are facing a personal challenge or seeking to make a difference in the world, living with conviction can help you to achieve your goals and live a more fulfilling life.
Living with Conviction
Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind
I just finished a sizable landscape project at my home. Although I have moved my share of earth in years past, I didn’t do any of the labor this time around. There were two parts of our property that had to be changed that I ignored for five years. They bothered me. Both were large sections on either side of the house. Grass and cedar trees. The nasty kind of cedar trees. In addition, they are water suckers, kill the grass, and spread serious pollen in the direction of my very allergenic bride.
I was tired of spending resources fertilizing, watering, replacing sod, mowing, etc. Certainly a waste of money and time. I was convinced to make some changes toward Xeriscape and I did. Although it put a dent in my savings account but the transformation was well worth it!
A person with conviction is difficult to stop. They are bothersome to the status quo and an absolute enemy to the dark side. Moreover, having conviction changes your life. Living them and communicating them changes other people’s lives.
Learning our Convictions
John Maxwell recently wrote these words: “I believe that when people learn and live good values, they become more valuable to others.”
And so as we learn our convictions and develop our values, we move into a transformational existence. We literally transform from the inside out. Do not let this world and its craziness cause you to shrink back and circle the wagons. Instead, embrace your conviction, develop your values. Live those values, teach them to others, and lead. Undoubtedly, if you do this, you will transform your life, the life of others, and the environments where you lead.
