Leadership is not only about achieving goals and solving problems; rather, it involves blessing others. In fact, leaders who positively impact the lives of those around them, whether through personal growth, professional development, or meeting their needs, demonstrate true leadership. Therefore, in this blog, we’ll delve into how leaders can make a difference by blessing others through their life and work. So, come along with us in discovering the transformative power of leadership that inspires and enriches the lives of others.

Leaders’ Calling: Radiating God’s Power to Bless Others

Leaders have a calling to bless others through their life and work. They are not only problem solvers but also people developers and providers. Secondly, they are not gods but radiate the power and intention of God by aligning their motives, skills, and courage to bless others.

The Power of Inspiration and the Impact of Skilled Leaders

I’m amazed by the talent God disperses. From the advances of medicine to technology, skyscrapers, music, authors, athletes, and coaches, the list is unending. Such skills displayed at the highest levels inspire us, and relentless effort, regardless of the outcome, inspires us even more. Being inspired increases our breathing and heart rate, and it sharpens the mind. As a result, our body temperature jumps, and our inner person moves toward the things worthy of our existence.

Finding Inspiration in Aligned Motives

In particular, many leaders have the ability to inspire me, especially when they strive to be a blessing to others. Among the various forms of inspiration, music and theater hold a special place in my heart. One example that I highly recommend is a song of worship called “The Blessing” by Elevation Worship, which can be easily found on YouTube.

Inspiring Leaders to Bless Others

The song is based upon an ancient text when Moses passed down a blessing to be spoken over the people:

“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”

The song and the text should:

  1. Help leaders remember God is gracious

  2. Inspire us and our work to be a blessing to others

  3. Inspire us to align our motives to the highest good

Leadership is difficult but with the motive of blessing others, it is transformed into a labor of love.
